Masterclass Outline
The following topics are covered in this workshop:
- The role of supervision in helping practitioners to develop their relationship competence. Supervision strategies for enhancing this competency, including experiential learning and modelling.
- Relational factors influencing the supervisory relationship and how to manage challenges associated with power differentials, multiple roles, and supervisory alliance ruptures.
- Creating a safe supervision space to combat supervisee anxiety, shame, and non-disclosure.
This workshop uses a combination of different learning techniques including: lecture-style content presentation, small group discussions, supervision case analysis, and participant self-reflection. There is a strong emphasis on practical skill development and supervisor reflection.
